Weezer Pays Homage to Viral Videos in their Latest Video
The Weezer Video for their new song, Pork and Beans, contains many references to popular viral videos of the past. Many people won't realize that the video contains all those references because I didn't recognize many of them myself. Weezer seems to continue to stay in touch with their fan base with this video and quite smartly because people don't really pay attention to music videos anymore. The only music video I have really paid attention to recently was "Rockstar" from Nickelback, oh and "Girlfriend" from Avril Lavigne but that was for a different reason, wink wink. Weezer was very smart to create this video and it will certainly make it's rounds on the Internet which will only help the band gain a bigger audience. Weezer is a true talent of a band and now I can safely say they are also talented marketers.
